The Idea Behind the Number
Every athlete wears a number. But what if that number carried more than a roster spot? At Nine On High, we asked a simple question: what if the jersey number was a verse?
The name across the back is a biblical name — Matthew, Mark, Luke, Ruth, David, Esther, and more. The number on the front is the chapter. The number on the sleeve is the verse. Together, they point to a single scripture — a declaration of faith you wear with every game, every workout, every walk down the street.

Why Jerseys?
Sports jerseys are statements. They tell the world who you are, what team you’re on, what number you carry. We thought: what better canvas for scripture? Athletes are already celebrated as people of strength, discipline, and perseverance — qualities woven throughout the Bible.
A jersey from Nine On High isn’t just apparel. It’s a conversation starter, a witnessing tool, a reminder to yourself every time you put it on that you are not doing this alone.

We approach every design with reverence. The Word of God is not a marketing slogan — it is living scripture. Every verse we print on a jersey is chosen with care, with the prayer that it reaches someone who needs it exactly when they see it.

The Name “Nine On High”
The name comes from our founding verse — Mark 9 — and the idea of lifting something up. High as in honored. High as in heaven. High as in the kind of faith that doesn’t stay on the bench. We wanted a name that felt like sports and scripture at the same time, because that’s exactly what this is.
